Zelensky: 40% of Frontline Arms Made in Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky has emphasized the growing role of Ukraine’s domestic defence industry in sustaining the country’s frontline capabilities. As of today, over 40% of the weaponry used by Ukrainian forces in active combat operations is domestically produced. This marks a significant milestone in Ukraine’s efforts to enhance its self-reliance in the defence sector amid ongoing Russian aggression.

The expansion of local military production reflects a deliberate strategic shift—not only to meet urgent battlefield demands but also to build a sustainable, resilient security infrastructure capable of long-term defense readiness. Ukraine’s defense industrial base has rapidly evolved, producing advanced systems, munitions, drones, and other critical equipment tailored to the specific conditions and tactical requirements of the current war.

President Zelensky underscored that this trend will continue to accelerate, signaling a clear message to the Russian Federation: Ukraine is not only defending itself with the support of international partners but is also increasingly capable of arming and sustaining its own military forces. This growth in indigenous defense capability acts as both a deterrent and a guarantee of Ukraine’s sovereign right to respond decisively to any hostile action.

In essence, the statement serves as both a strategic update and a warning—any aggression will be met with a growing, self-sufficient, and resolute response.

Nauseda: ‘Slap in the Face to Peace’

Another heinous Russian war crime – this time in the heart of Sumy. This is a slap in the face to all who seek and want peace, – Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda wrote on the social platform X.

“The civilized world must use force to stop these barbarians who are killing civilians and children,” – the Lithuanian President declared.

According to him, Lithuania once again confirms its unwavering commitment to support Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelensky until a just peace is achieved.

As a reminder, this morning the Russians launched a missile attack on Sumy. According to the latest data, 24 people were killed and more than 80 were injured.

Zelensky Urges Global Pressure

Russian strikes deserve only condemnation, pressure must be exerted on Russia to end the war and ensure the safety of the people, – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on the social platform X.

According to him, at the moment it is known that 31 people have died as a result of a Russian ballistic missile strike in Sumy. Among the dead are two children. More than 84 people have been injured, including 10 children.

“It is important that the world does not remain silent or indifferent. Russian strikes deserve only condemnation. Pressure must be put on Russia to end the war and ensure the safety of its people. Without truly strong pressure, without sufficient support for Ukraine, Russia will continue to drag out this war. For the second month now, Putin has ignored the US proposal for a complete and unconditional ceasefire. Unfortunately, Moscow is confident that it can continue its killings with impunity. Action is needed to change this situation,” Zelensky wrote.

Linkevičius Slams Russia After Sumy Strike

President Trump has finally extended sanctions against Russia, and today, Russia’s attack on the Ukrainian city of Sumy has killed more than 20 people, – former Lithuanian Foreign and Defense Minister and Lithuanian Ambassador to Sweden Linas Linkevičius wrote on the social platform X.

“Russia continues to do what it does best – kill and simply mock Trump’s efforts for a ceasefire,” – Linas Linkevičius wrote.

As a reminder, this morning the Russians launched a missile attack on Sumy. According to the latest data, 24 people were killed and more than 80 were injured

Zaluzhny Reveals Secret NATO Command Center in Germany

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny, has revealed the existence of a covert operational headquarters in Germany where Ukrainian, American, and British military officers collaborate on strategic planning against Russia.

According to Zaluzhny, this facility serves as a coordination centre for joint military efforts, including intelligence sharing, strategic planning, and operational oversight in Ukraine’s defence against Russian aggression. The disclosure highlights the depth of military cooperation between Ukraine and its Western allies, emphasizing their role in shaping battlefield tactics and broader strategic initiatives.

While neither the United States, the United Kingdom, nor Germany have officially confirmed the existence of such a facility, the existence of such a command centre would underscore the level of international support for Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia.

Norway Pledges $470 Million for Ukraine’s Defence

Norway has announced the allocation of $376 million to purchase artillery shells for Ukraine as part of the Czech-led initiative aimed at strengthening Kyiv’s defense capabilities. The move underscores Norway’s commitment to supporting Ukraine amid its ongoing conflict with Russia.

In addition to funding for ammunition procurement, Norway will contribute another $94 million to the European Peace Facility (EPF), an EU instrument designed to bolster military aid and security assistance. These funds will also be directed toward Ukraine’s defense efforts, further reinforcing the country’s ability to sustain its military operations.

The Czech initiative, which coordinates international efforts to supply Ukraine with much-needed artillery shells, has gained increasing support from European nations. The Norwegian government emphasized that this financial contribution aligns with its broader strategy of providing military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.

Ukraine’s fibre optic drones hitting targets from 20km.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, reported on the integration of fiber-optic cables into Ukraine’s military operations, marking a significant step in the country’s technological adaptation on the battlefield. This development underscores Ukraine’s commitment to enhancing its drone warfare capabilities amid ongoing hostilities.

According to Syrsky, Ukrainian forces hit more than 77,000 targets using drones in March, a 10% increase from February. This surge in drone-assisted operations highlights the growing reliance on unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for intelligence gathering, target identification, and precision strikes. Drones have become a crucial asset in Ukraine’s defensive strategy, providing both strategic and tactical advantages in real-time combat scenarios.

One of the key advancements in Ukraine’s drone warfare is the adoption of fibre-optic-controlled first-person view (FPV) drones. Syrsky noted that these drones are being deployed at distances of up to 20 kilometres. Unlike traditional radio-controlled drones, fibre-optic FPV drones offer a significant advantage in electronic warfare environments.

A major benefit of fibre-optic technology is its resilience against radio-electronic warfare (EW) systems. Conventional drones often face the risk of being jammed, disrupted, or hijacked by enemy electronic countermeasures. However, fibre-optic FPV drones are immune to such interference, ensuring a stable and uninterrupted connection between the operator and the drone. This allows for precise targeting and intelligence gathering, even in heavily contested electronic warfare zones.

Russian Advances Stalled in Donetsk

The fighting in the Donetsk region has entered an intensified phase, with direct clashes between Ukrainian and Russian military forces yielding outcomes that indicate Russia’s inability to advance in this sector. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces are successfully reclaiming territory.

On the Donetsk Front, in the Kurakhovo direction near the Andriyivka settlement, Russian forces launched a mechanized assault on Ukrainian positions today. However, the attack was repelled without success.

Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully neutralized Russian military assets, destroying one tank, two BMP-1/2 infantry fighting vehicles, five military transport vehicles, and eliminating 42 enemy infantry soldiers.

These developments underscore Ukraine’s battlefield advantage, particularly with the continuation of military assistance, which has contributed to the ongoing liberation of towns and villages.

The Flight of the Pumas!

Ukrainian officials report that the British Ministry of Defence is preparing to provide Puma HC2 military transport helicopters to Ukraine free of charge.

All twenty three of the UK’s Puma medium support helicopters, one of the RAF’s longest-serving aircraft, were retired on March 31, 2025. Eight of these helicopters have been modernised by Airbus, at a cost of £260m, and are scheduled to be flown to Ukraine.

Following the British Ministry of Defence’s decision, France is also considering transferring its decommissioned Pumas to Ukraine.

This military assistance is of great importance for Ukraine in terms of putting pressure on the Russian front lines, and could well change the status quo of the war in favour of Ukraine. The fact is clear: after Trump became president, the European continent has become more active in helping Ukraine.
