Zelensky: 40% of Frontline Arms Made in Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky has emphasized the growing role of Ukraine’s domestic defence industry in sustaining the country’s frontline capabilities. As of today, over 40% of the weaponry used by Ukrainian forces in active combat operations is domestically produced. This marks a significant milestone in Ukraine’s efforts to enhance its self-reliance in the defence sector amid ongoing Russian aggression.

The expansion of local military production reflects a deliberate strategic shift—not only to meet urgent battlefield demands but also to build a sustainable, resilient security infrastructure capable of long-term defense readiness. Ukraine’s defense industrial base has rapidly evolved, producing advanced systems, munitions, drones, and other critical equipment tailored to the specific conditions and tactical requirements of the current war.

President Zelensky underscored that this trend will continue to accelerate, signaling a clear message to the Russian Federation: Ukraine is not only defending itself with the support of international partners but is also increasingly capable of arming and sustaining its own military forces. This growth in indigenous defense capability acts as both a deterrent and a guarantee of Ukraine’s sovereign right to respond decisively to any hostile action.

In essence, the statement serves as both a strategic update and a warning—any aggression will be met with a growing, self-sufficient, and resolute response.

Zelensky Urges Global Pressure

Russian strikes deserve only condemnation, pressure must be exerted on Russia to end the war and ensure the safety of the people, – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on the social platform X.

According to him, at the moment it is known that 31 people have died as a result of a Russian ballistic missile strike in Sumy. Among the dead are two children. More than 84 people have been injured, including 10 children.

“It is important that the world does not remain silent or indifferent. Russian strikes deserve only condemnation. Pressure must be put on Russia to end the war and ensure the safety of its people. Without truly strong pressure, without sufficient support for Ukraine, Russia will continue to drag out this war. For the second month now, Putin has ignored the US proposal for a complete and unconditional ceasefire. Unfortunately, Moscow is confident that it can continue its killings with impunity. Action is needed to change this situation,” Zelensky wrote.

And today it is clear that Russia alone has chosen to continue it – with a clear disregard for human lives, international law and the diplomatic efforts of President Trump,” Macron wrote.

He said that tough measures are needed to force Russia to cease fire.

“Strong measures are needed to impose a ceasefire on Russia. France is working tirelessly to achieve this goal, together with its partners. I appeal to the victims, the wounded and all of Ukraine, which continues to resist: our solidarity, our respect, our unwavering commitment to you,” Macron wrote.

Zaluzhny Reveals Secret NATO Command Center in Germany

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny, has revealed the existence of a covert operational headquarters in Germany where Ukrainian, American, and British military officers collaborate on strategic planning against Russia.

According to Zaluzhny, this facility serves as a coordination centre for joint military efforts, including intelligence sharing, strategic planning, and operational oversight in Ukraine’s defence against Russian aggression. The disclosure highlights the depth of military cooperation between Ukraine and its Western allies, emphasizing their role in shaping battlefield tactics and broader strategic initiatives.

While neither the United States, the United Kingdom, nor Germany have officially confirmed the existence of such a facility, the existence of such a command centre would underscore the level of international support for Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia.

China Holds the Keys to U.S. Military

“The U.S. military’s dependence on China is enormous. Aircraft carriers, missiles, fighter jets, missile defence systems and tanks all use components or materials sourced from China.

China is the largest foreign supplier of critical technology to the Department of Defense — even ahead of close allies like Britain and Japan,” The Hill reported.

Raytheon CEO Greg Hayes said he couldn’t cut ties with China because his company depends on thousands of suppliers there.

This dependence gives China unprecedented leverage.

April 9th and the Independence of Georgia

April 9, 1989, is a significant and tragic day in Georgia’s history, known as the Tbilisi Massacre. On this day, peaceful pro-independence protesters in the capital, Tbilisi, were met with brutal violence by Soviet military forces. In the late 1980s, there was a growing wave of nationalism across the Soviet republics, with many seeking independence from Soviet rule. In Georgia, this sentiment was particularly strong, driven by a desire for greater autonomy and the preservation of Georgian culture and identity, which had been under pressure from Soviet policies. The protests were part of a broader movement across the Soviet Union for political freedom, national self-determination, and democratization.

On April 9, a large crowd of approximately 100,000 people gathered in Tbilisi, at the Rustaveli Avenue, to peacefully demand Georgian independence and to protest against Soviet control. The demonstrators were calling for the restoration of Georgia’s independence, which had been lost after it was incorporated into the Soviet Union in 1921.

The peaceful rally turned into a massacre when Soviet military forces were ordered to disperse the crowd. Early in the morning, Soviet troops, including soldiers from the Interior Ministry and Soviet Army, moved in and used force, including batons and gas, to break up the protests. They also used toxic gas, likely tear gas or a more dangerous substance, against the demonstrators. Many people were suffocated or injured, and 21 were killed.

In the years that followed, the April 9th tragedy became a symbol of the Georgian people’s struggle for independence. It strengthened the movement for independence from the Soviet Union, which was officially declared in 1991. The massacre is remembered annually in Georgia, and the day is now commemorated as a national day of remembrance, honoring the victims who lost their lives.
