Norway has announced the allocation of $376 million to purchase artillery shells for Ukraine as part of the Czech-led initiative aimed at strengthening Kyiv’s defense capabilities. The move underscores Norway’s commitment to supporting Ukraine amid its ongoing conflict with Russia.

In addition to funding for ammunition procurement, Norway will contribute another $94 million to the European Peace Facility (EPF), an EU instrument designed to bolster military aid and security assistance. These funds will also be directed toward Ukraine’s defense efforts, further reinforcing the country’s ability to sustain its military operations.

The Czech initiative, which coordinates international efforts to supply Ukraine with much-needed artillery shells, has gained increasing support from European nations. The Norwegian government emphasized that this financial contribution aligns with its broader strategy of providing military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
